The modernist heritage
Oló preserves an interesting modernist heritage. The old industrial premises of the Sauleda factory (formerly called "El Borràs") are a work by the architect Ignasi Mas i Morell and it preserves two interesting façades. Within the urban area there is series of buildings erected during the first decades of the 20th century featuring modernist influences.
Besides restoring the Romanesque chapel of Sant Jaume de Vilanova, Josep Puig i Cadafalch left two of his late works in Oló: the Vilanova Tower and the chapel of Santa Creu de la Rodoreda. Close to Sant Feliuet de Terrassola, the large country house of Rocabruna stands out, built in 1919, a work by the architect Eduard Balcells i Beiges.
