La Ruca

La Ruca is a school focussed on environmental education run by the Fundació Pere Tarrés. It is the foundation’s first nature school and provides summer camp services as well as serving as a training centre for camp leaders in coordination with the Escola de l’Esplai-Institut de Formació. The location of the house is exceptional, in lush natural surroundings.
The centre is located in the valley formed by the Malrubí Stream, with water all year round – enriching the diversity of the surrounding ecosystems. La Ruca has large halls to hold activities and a natural setting that lends itself to a range of outings and activities.
To arrive, you need to take the N141-C road that leads from Manresa to Vic. Between km 20 and 21 you will see the Urbisol restaurant. From there you need to take a 1.7 km track leading to the house. As coaches are unable to drive on the track, they can park at the restaurant. Coaches can also arrive at the house from Artès.
