The Marfà Valley

The municipality of Castellcir is made up of two physically separated districts: one, which is the village of Castellcir, and the other, the Marfà enclave, situated a few kilometres away to the northwest, which has belonged to Castellcir since the 19th century. There is the chapel of Sant Pere and Mare de Déu de la Tosca and the Tosca and Brotons waterwheels with a large number of springs. The stream forms some waterfalls of outstanding beauty.
In order to reach the enclave, take the road from Castellterçol to Moià and turn left just before the only bridge on the route (La Fàbrega bridge). Following the forest track you will get to the Marfà enclave, protected natural area.
