Roc de la Guàrdia
Itinerary and points of interest: L’Espina, Coll d’Heures, Mas la Collada, Roc de la Guàrdia, Roc Gros viewpoint , Pyrenees viewpoint , Mas cal Jordà, the Three Oaks, Casanoves Forest, Old Road from Vic to Manresa.
Description: We leave the Plaça Major and continue along the GR 177 towards L’Espina. Once we have passed the house, we leave the GR 177 behind and take the path we find to our left. We continue along this path until we arrive at the Coll d’Heures where we will come across a main path which we take heading north. We arrive at the Mas de la Collada property and continue to the left along the paved path, leading to the N-141 road. Before getting to the road, we take the path that runs parallel to the road and which will lead us to the Roc de la Guàrdia, from where we will see signs for the Roc Gros and Pyrenees viewpoints.
To return, we take the same route back towards the Mas de la Collada, from where we will take the little path to the right which leads to Mas Cal Jordà. Once at the house, we go along the path to the left and 100 metres further on we take a fork to the right towards the Three Oaks. From there, we continue through the Casanoves Forest until arriving at the camí ral, the old road, which will take us back once again to the town of Collsuspina.
Santa Coloma Sasserra – old parish church
Itinerary and points of interest: Mas l’Espinoi, L’Espina stream, Santa Coloma de Sasserra chapel, Santa Coloma de Sasserra viewpoint, the great Giol Oak, Ca l’Escanyolit, the L’Espina mill, L’Espina.
We leave from the Plaça along Carrer Major until we reach the l’Espinoi house. Once we have passed this house, but before arriving at the La Barraca farm, we take the path which leads to the left. We head downhill until we reach the stream and then carry on up the path towards the crest of l’Espina. From there, we join the GR 177 which we follow south until we arrive at the Santa Coloma Sasserra chapel (Castellcir).
